Hugh Jackman will return to screen as Wolverine as per the announcement of Ryan Reynolds. He took his Twitter on Tuesday and brought the cat out of the shopper. He also stated that the film will open on Sept. 6, 2024.

Jackman’s big break was in 2000’s X-Men, a film that turned him into a global star and established his image as classic Wolverine. The character died in the 2017 film Logan but it will be reprised as an icon as it is.

Ryan revised his classic hilarious style of making announcements and said, “Hey everyone, we’re extremely sad to have missed D23, but we’ve been working very hard on the next Deadpool film for a good long while now.”

He further said, “I’ve had to search my soul on this one. His first appearance in the MCU obviously needs to feel special. We need to stay true to the character, and find new depth, motivation, and meaning. Every Deadpool needs to stand out and stand apart.”

He also said, “It’s been an incredible challenge that has forced me to reach down deep inside. And I…I have nothing. Yeah, just completely empty up here. And terrifying. But we did have one idea.”
