Men, it’s time to rejoice! Ace designer Maheen Khan has finally launched a male line and we can almost hear the men taking a sigh of relief. Okay Men, answer our questions, isn’t it difficult to find something that is not only comfortable but fashionable? Something that makes sense when you wear it, but also makes you look and feel good, it’s difficult right? There are plenty of options for women in ethnic, like saree, shalwar-suit, lehengas and shararas. As if that was not enough, there are options like ethnic gowns and dresses. But what do we have for men? Not enough, evidently. Not enough, but not anymore! With Maheen Khan’s new male line called Gulabo Gentlemen, you can find anything and everything that you require or can think of! The fashion line aims at creating fun options for men’s ethnic wear. Talking about her new venture, the designer posted on Twitter, “Launched a men's line for the fashion savvy, only because I'm so bored with the way they dress. Those tight body-hugging kameezes where every seam is stretched to bursting point or the poorly cut kameez that rides up in front. Like it or hate it, [it] has to be said.” The collections most attention grabbing piece is a “shant” – a cross between a shalwar and a pant. Explaining what a shant is, the designer wrote, “Don't like shalwars? Wear a Shant. Shalwar trouser with the deepest of pockets, comfortable and easy to carry off with a short kurta too.”
