Acer’s new Spin 714 could be 2022’s best Chromebook based on its features

There have been quite a few Chromebooks in the past few years, but the one that has consistently topped the competition is the Acer Chromebook Spin 713. Not only is it fast with good battery life but it also sports one of the best screens and port selections you can find in the Chromebook category. The Spin 714, the company’s newest premium Chromebook certified through the Intel Evo platform, looks like a similar package to the 713 in many ways. It has up to a top-notch Core i7-1260P, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. Acer has made some clear strides in one important area: the looks. It comes in a nice dark colour with a sturdy build and a comfortable texture. From the backlit keyboard to the lustrous accents on the touchpad and the keyboard and the hinge, it’s far ahead of the 713’s school laptop aesthetic. Both of the Spin 714’s display options are 16:10 while the most recent 713 models have been 3:2. The Spin 713 has a fairly big chin while the Spin 714’s looks smaller with the Acer logo less conspicuous. The Spin 714 will be available in August for a starting

Price of $749.99.

OnePlus launched its midrange price phone Nord 2T with 80W fast charging

OnePlus is officially announcing a trio of more affordable devices for Europe: the OnePlus Nord 2T, the Nord CE 2 Lite, and the Nord Buds true wireless headphones. The Nord 2T starts at £369 (€399) and is best thought of as a souped-up version of last year’s Nord 2. The OnePlus Nord 2T features won’t come as a surprise to anyone familiar with its predecessor. It’s using an upgraded MediaTek chip and has speedier 80W fast charging, but other hardware like its screen and cameras are broadly unchanged from last year. It’s available with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for £369 (€399), or there’s a step-up version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for £469 (€499). The Nord Buds are also set to release in the US, they’ll cost $40 and be available in mid-June.
